Phoenix Dancong tea is one of China’s most celebrated oolongs, known for its incredible aromatic diversity and deep connection to the terroir of the Phoenix Mountains in Guangdong.
Each variety of Phoenix Dancong is crafted from single tea bushes, or “dancong,” that are prized for their ability to mimic the aromas of various flowers and fruits, such as orchid, honey, almond, or even tropical fruits.
What makes this tea so special is also its deep-rooted cultural heritage. Traditionally produced by skilled artisans in small batches, Phoenix Dancong embodies the ancient tea-making practices passed down through generations.
In our tasting, we will have the chance to taste a variety of cultivars from 2024, as well as aged Dancong teas from TeeMaa's tea storage.
