Bluish-White (青白磁) teapot from the Yoshimura Toen kiln in Higashi Sonogi-gun, Nagasaki prefecture.
Hasamiyaki is a type of porcelain from Hasami City. The technique was brought from Korea and looks back an approximately 400 years history. Porcelain is fired in a very high temperature; and as the surface vitrifies, it is suitable for all categories of teas.
This teapot is suitable for brewing Japanese teas as well as whole leaf teas from other countries.
