Traditional Wagashi Workshop with Japanese Artisan

Experience and taste traditional Japanese wagashi in Helsinki with the guru.

We are honored to invite Japanese Wagashi artisan Åkerlind Moriyama Yuko(Hinata) to host a very special workshop. In this rare event, participants will discover the cultural heritage of wagashi, learn about the unique craft of wagashi mold makers, and see the professional tools used in this centuries-old confectionery tradition.

The highlight of the workshop: under the guidance of Miroyama Yuko, you will handcraft three classic wagashi yourself. The session concludes with tasting your creations paired with premium Japanese matcha.

No prior skills are required — ANYONE can join, and all materials will be prepared and included.This is a unique opportunity to learn directly from a visiting Japanese artisan — a hands-on and delicious cultural experience not to be missed.
