Nilgiri Frost is an exceptional winter tea, harvested as the first tea of the year in the high-altitude gardens of the Nilgiri Mountains in southern India. When a mild frost sets in at an altitude of over 2,000 metres, the frozen leaves are picked by hand in the early hours of the morning and processed immediately. This is a laborious process that underlines its exclusive character.

The cold causes the tea leaves to undergo complex chemical processes that give the tea a particularly multi-layered, intense aroma. The result is an elegant tea with floral freshness, herbaceous and sweet-fruity nuances of apricot, accompanied by tart, tangy orange. The light leaf tips and wiry, dark leaves are evidence of the highest quality and careful processing.
