He will host both a workshop and a Wild Tea Meditation Gathering at our tea and culture space, Muyō, offering two different ways to experience his teas. Whether you'd like to explore how Taiwan's wild teas are grown, harvested, and crafted through an in-depth, analytical tasting, or immerse yourself in a meditative tea experience that engages all of your senses, you're warmly invited to join us.

About Tea Master Cho

Tea Master Cho is the founder of CHANOSUKE, established in Taiwan in 2016 with the mission of sharing authentic Taiwanese tea with the world. Born in Taichung and raised in Nantou—the birthplace of Taiwanese oolong tea—he learned the art of tea making from an early age and developed a lifelong connection with Taiwan's mountains and forests.

After discovering that much of the tea marketed as "Taiwanese tea" no longer reflected the quality and integrity he had grown up with, he dedicated himself to seeking out truly authentic tea. Today, he oversees every stage of production—from cultivation and harvesting to processing—working directly in the remote mountain forests of Taiwan. Known affectionately as "Wild Zhang," he is particularly recognized for his pioneering work with naturally grown wild teas, crafted in harmony with their surrounding forest ecosystem.

Master Cho believes that great tea begins in the field. Through CHANOSUKE, he strives to preserve Taiwan's tea heritage while sharing the stories, landscapes, and craftsmanship behind every cup with tea lovers around the world.

Morning Workshop – Discovering Taiwan's Wild Tea

In the forest, tea is more than a crop.

It grows in harmony with the surrounding trees, awakens with the mountain mist, and matures slowly through the changing seasons.

Tea Master Cho ventures into the mountains, harvesting tea in rhythm with nature and preserving the essence of the land, time, and terroir in every cup.

On this special occasion, he travels to Europe to share the unique world of CHANOSUKE's Taiwanese wild teas. Beginning with a single cup, he will guide participants in discovering the connections between forests, ecosystems, tea plants, and the art of tea making.

Through guided tastings and in-depth explanations, you will learn how wild tea differs from conventionally cultivated tea, explore how different growing regions and distinctive processing methods shape flavour, and develop a deeper appreciation of tea through all your senses.
