Ingredients: black tea (50 %, Rwanda), cinnamon bits, ginger, clove, black pepper, cardamom. No additives.

An Indian-style blend of black tea and spices that is very good with plenty of milk or cream, i.e. Chai latte.

Masala Chai is practically the national drink of India, which started to become a phenomenon from the 1930s, when the common people finally began to have the affordability and interest in tea, which was previously considered the luxury of the colonial lords. “Chai” means tea, and “masala” means a spice blend that varies by blenders, but usually contains at least ginger and cardamom. Masala Chai is a very Christmas-scented tea in Finnish, and it is an effective warmer in winter.

Masala Chai is intended to be drunk with sugar and milk, and as such the tea is known in the West as Chai latte. Admittedly, this particular blend is rare in that, thanks to its relatively whole leaves, this tea can also be enjoyed without sugar or milk.
