Yerba mate is a South American invigorating herb, Mate has been constantly in many countries as a more important beverage than tea or coffee. The taste is full-bodied herbaceous and slightly bitter.

The caffeine content of yerba mate in dry leaves is about a third of same quantity coffee, but mate becomes very invigorating when abundantly dosed in the traditional way.
